I have one child and am interested in having a tummy tuck. I
want my shape back, and in the past I have been told that tummy
tucks do not last. Is that true?
That is indeed true if you get pregnant again or if you put on a
lot of weight. For most of our patients the improved shape
remains. Sounds to me like you’re highly motivated and you would
enjoy a consultation. So go ahead and pick up the phone, dial
253-582-8486. When the consultant answers go ahead and tell her
your situation. She will ask you some general questions as well
as some specific medical questions. Go ahead and answer those
and she’ll give you a couple options as far as dates. Pick one,
schedule a consultation, come on in, and you will find the
consultation process very fun, very informative, and looking
forward to seeing you and thank you for your question.

I have had two children. I had a gallbladder surgery eight years
ago. I have a “fat roll”, and exercise does not help it go away.
What can I do?
One story that comes to my mind is of a lady that I took care of
about 15 years ago. She had a bulge and her husband said she
just needed to exercise more. So she went and got a personal
trainer and did 250 sit-ups in the morning and 250 sit-ups in
the evening for nine months. That did not change a thing.
The main issue after pregnancy is stretched tissue. Skin is like
a balloon. You take a balloon and you put a little air into the
balloon. That balloon will return to normal when you let out
that small amount of air. If you take the same balloon and you
blow it up until it’s about ready to explode, then you let out
the air that elastic in the balloon does not return to normal;
it stays stretched. Just like the elastin in the skin does not
return to normal after being significantly stretched.
My advice is when you’re highly motivated to do something, go
ahead and pick up the phone, call 253-528-8486. When the
consultant answers tell her your situation, go ahead and answer
the questions that she’ll ask you: the general questions and the
medical questions. Then schedule a consultation. Come on in and
get our professional recommendation. I am looking forward to
seeing you and thank you for the question.

I have had three C-sections. The last one was about 20 years
ago. I have a bulge and a flab above my C-section scar. I would
like my tummy to be more proportionate and flatter. What can I
do?
Hi, very interesting question.
The key issue here is almost surely stretched tissue. You have a
very normal weight and have always maintained that weight,
despite being the mother of three children. It sounds like
you’ve worked hard at getting rid of the bulge, yet the bulge
persists.
Again, the most likely cause of the bulge and the small flab is
stretched skin and stretched fascia.
Before you continue doing things that do not produce the results
you want, you may already be aware that the thing that flattens
the tummy and gives shape back is a procedure that’s designed to
tighten the skin and tighten the fascia, and that is a tummy
tuck.
So after you’re highly motivated to do something go ahead and
pick up the phone and dial 253-582-8486. When the consultant
answers, tell her your situation, answer the general questions,
as well as the specific medical questions, choose a date for a
consultation, and come in and get my professional evaluation.
I’m looking forward to meeting you in the future and thank you
for your interesting question.

My wife had lap band surgery and has lost 40 pounds. She plans
on losing 15 more pounds and will then have a tummy tuck. When
would be the best time for her to have the procedure?
Since she is already aware of what she wants and is highly
motivated, now is a good time to begin the planning process.
One thing we do not want to do is have her losing weight right
before having surgery. We will want the weight stable for a
couple of months. I think it would be wise for her to have an
early consultation so she can plan appropriately for her
surgery.
Go ahead and pick up the phone, dial 253-582-8486. When a
consultant answers have your wife tell her the situation. The
consultant will probably check in with me. I will give some
instructions as what to do. Have your wife answer the specific
general questions as well as the medical questions and we’ll
arrange for her to come in for a consultation.
Looking forward to talking with both of you in the future.

I work out at the gym routinely, and am considering a breast
enlargement and a tummy tuck. Would I be a good candidate?
I assume from your question that you’re starting the process of
getting your body back. The two procedures that you mentioned
are often done at the same time. I have many women who have done
both together and who have had spectacular results. This
combination is becoming more and more common.
The recovery time to get back to the gym after a tummy tuck is
about six weeks.
It sounds like you are in touch with what you want and are ready
for a consultation. So go ahead and pick up the phone, dial
253-582-8486, when the consultant answers, tell her about your
situation. Also answer her specific general questions and the
medical questions. Pick a time to come. You will find the
consultation a very enjoyable and exciting experience.
Looking forward to seeing you in the future and thank you for
your question.

What is post baby body? I know that the prices are listed, but I
don’t see a package deal.
To answer your question, post-baby body syndrome is the
permanent changes that occur in a woman’s body after pregnancy.
There are two main areas where these changes occur. One is in
the tummy and the second is in the breast. The causes are
stretch of the tissue or loss of volume of the tissue. The
breast changes are number one, deflated breasts and/or saggy
breasts. The tummy changes are bulging of the tummy or loose
skin in the tummy area. Many women have different combinations
of the above. Many of the procedures are done together such as
breast enlargement and tummy tuck. This results in a savings of
money and surgical and healing time.
When you come in for your consultation, please bring a list of
your medicines, vitamins and supplements.
To schedule a consultation, pick up the phone dial 253-582-8486.
When the consultant answers, please tell her your situation.
She’ll ask you some general questions and some specific medical
questions. Go ahead and answer those. She’ll also give you a
choice of dates. Pick a date, come on in. You’ll have a very
informative and exciting consultation time. The consultation
will last anywhere from an hour in half to two in half hours.
Looking forward to seeing you and thank you very much for your
question.

I am interested in a tummy tuck. I had the lap band surgery 2
years ago. I was 320 lbs when I did it. I am now 240 pounds but
have so much stretched out skin that just hangs. I wanted to
know if I would be right for a tummy tuck. Is there a weight
limit? I am 30 years old and I am at a standstill on losing
weight.
I understand that you lost 80 pounds since your surgery two
years ago. You want to know if we can help you now or if losing
more weight is going to be necessary first.
Before giving an opinion, I would like more information. I’m
going to ask you to call and talk to Pam. Please pick up the
phone, dial 253-582-8486. When the phone is answered, please ask
to speak with Pam. Tell Pam that I asked you to call and also
tell her your situation. She will ask some general questions and
specific medical questions. Go ahead and answer them. Also I
would ask that you send photos to her and she’ll get those to
me.
I will then be able to give you a more informed opinion. Looking
forward to talking with you in the future and thank you very
much for your question.

I am preparing to have a tummy tuck and a breast lift done. I
will be financially prepared to have this surgery completed in
February of 2010 and would like to begin the steps that are
necessary now, as far as consulting and setting goals. How long
does it take to recover from both of these procedures? Is there
a discount if two procedures are done at once?
You are planning on having breast lift surgery and a tummy tuck
sometime after February 2010. You are beginning the planning
phase and want to know recovery times. You also want to know if
they can be done together.
If your blood work is okay then they can be done together. Most
of our patients prefer doing them together since there is only
one recovery time period. Recovery time is six weeks until you
can return to full activity. Most people return to work two
weeks after the surgery. These procedures are usually done with
two doctors.
When you come in for your consultation, please bring a list of
your medications, vitamins and supplements.
To schedule your consultation, pick up the phone dial
253-582-8486. When the phone is answered by one of the
consultants, tell her your situation. She will ask you some
general questions and some specific medical questions. Go ahead
and answer those. She will give you a choice of dates. Go ahead
and pick one, come on in, and you find the consultation very
informative and enjoyable. It will take anywhere from an hour in
half to two in half hours.
